MotoMarket Pasay: One of the Biggest Gear Shops in the Metro Just Opened

MotoMarket has opened a new branch in Pasay City. We visited the store ourselves, and it’s one of the bigger MotoMarket locations in the metro, with a wide selection of helmets, jackets, boots, and riding accessories. It also carries some stock we didn’t find at other branches.

This is good news for riders on the south side of Metro Manila. Before this, a full MotoMarket shopping trip usually meant heading to Centris or Libis in Quezon City. Now there’s a large branch closer to Pasay, Parañaque, and the MOA area.

For daily commuters and weekend riders alike, having more gear options nearby makes it easier to shop without a long trip. It also means riders in that part of the city don’t have to choose between a smaller, limited-stock branch and a long drive to a bigger one.

Where to Find MotoMarket Pasay

The new branch is on Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City, at One Pacific by the Bay Tower 1. This area is already popular with riders near the Bay Area and MOA.

Its central location also makes it convenient for riders coming from Metro Manila and nearby provinces, whether you’re stopping by after work, heading to the MOA area, or getting ready for a weekend ride.

The store is also close to SMX Convention Center, where the Makina Moto Expo is held every year, so Pasay is already a location riders know well.

A Quick Background on MotoMarket

MotoMarket is the retail brand of Motoworld Philippines, a company founded in Manila in 2004. It started as one shop and has grown into one of the largest motorcycle gear retailers in the country, with branches across Metro Manila and other provinces, including Alabang, Greenhills, Marikina, Pasig, Taguig, Angeles, and Sta. Rosa.

MotoMarket’s bigger branches, like the one in Centris, Quezon City, are known for having more space and a wider stock of each brand. The new Pasay branch follows that same larger format.

Motoworld also runs specialty stores under other names, like Dainese D-Store branches, and it distributes gear for many international brands sold across its network. That means the same brands you see at one MotoMarket branch are generally available at others, though stock and sizes can differ from store to store. A larger branch like Pasay usually means fewer out-of-stock sizes and more choices in one visit.

What You Can Find In the Store

MotoMarket carries a wide range of products from Motoworld’s brand lineup. Based on general MotoMarket stock, you can expect to find:

  • Helmets – AGV, SHOEI, LS2, Nolan, SCHUBERTH, and SMK, in full-face, modular, and open-face styles.
  • Riding jackets and suits – Dainese, Komine, RS Taichi, Ixon and Macna, in mesh, textile, and leather materials.
  • Boots and gloves – riding-specific footwear and hand protection from several brands.
  • Accessories – Sena communication headsets, GIVI top boxes and luggage, Oxford accessories, rain gear, phone mounts, and paddocks.

During our visit, this branch had wide aisles and separate sections for each brand, instead of everything crowded onto shared racks. A few items on the shelves were ones we hadn’t seen at other MotoMarket branches, worth keeping in mind if you’ve been looking for a specific model or size that was sold out elsewhere.

Why a Bigger Store Is Useful

Gear sizing isn’t always simple. Helmet sizes can differ between brands, and head shape also affects which brand fits best. Jacket sizing can vary too, so trying gear on before buying is usually a good idea.

A bigger store usually means more items available to try on, instead of sitting in a stockroom. It can also mean more staff on hand to help with sizing and fit. Riders who’ve struggled to find their size at smaller branches may have better luck here, since more stock is likely to be on display rather than stored away.

If you’re buying a helmet, check for the PS (Philippine Standard) or ICC (Import Commodity Clearance) sticker inside the shell. This confirms the helmet is certified for legal use in the Philippines. Buying from an authorized store like MotoMarket makes it easier to confirm this. It also helps to prioritize fit and ventilation, since Metro Manila traffic and heat can make a poorly ventilated helmet uncomfortable.

What Riders Are Saying

MotoMarket branches in general get reviews that often mention staff taking time to help customers choose gear based on their needs and budget. Some also mention long wait times during busy periods, which is common for larger retail stores. Reviews can vary by branch and by day, so it’s still best to visit and check the store yourself.

Helmets: A Few Basics

Helmets are usually the first thing riders buy, so here are a few basics that apply no matter which branch you visit.

  • Fit matters more than looks. A helmet that’s too loose won’t protect you properly. One that’s too tight will be uncomfortable on long rides.
  • Head shape affects fit. Some brands are made for rounder heads, others for more oval heads. That’s why the same size can feel different between brands.
  • Ventilation matters in the Philippines. Traffic and heat make airflow important. Helmets with more vents are usually more comfortable for daily use.
  • Certification is required by law. Helmets sold in the Philippines must have a PS or ICC sticker, confirming they meet safety standards.

Jackets and Boots: A Few Basics

Jackets and boots also need proper fitting, not just the right size on paper.

  • Mesh jackets are good for hot weather and daily commuting, since they allow more airflow.
  • Textile and leather jackets are usually better for long-distance or high-speed riding, since they offer more protection.
  • Boots should cover the ankle and have some built-in protection. Regular sneakers don’t offer the same level of safety.
  • Gloves are often overlooked, but they protect the hands, which are commonly injured in falls.

Trying these items on in person, instead of buying online without testing them, is usually the safer option.

Should You Visit MotoMarket Pasay?

If you’re in the Pasay, Parañaque, or MOA area and need new gear, a helmet, a jacket, or boots, this branch is worth checking out. It joins MotoMarket’s other large-format stores, like Centris, Libis, and Alabang, as one of the more complete options for riding gear in Metro Manila.

A few tips before your visit:

  • Visit on a weekday if possible, since weekends tend to be busier.
  • Bring your old gear if you’re replacing it. This helps staff compare sizes, especially if you’re switching brands.
  • Set a budget range beforehand, since prices vary a lot between entry-level and premium gear.
  • Check the certification sticker before buying, especially for helmets.

MotoMarket Pasay is open, has a large selection, carries some stock that’s hard to find at other branches, and is a good option for riders on the south side of Metro Manila.
